Years ago when I first believed I saw my life in Christ as something easy
But the more I learned, the more it seemed the Christian life was rules and regulations
Truth I can't deny, so I decided to devote my life to serve Him
Doubts and fears they filled my mind, but I pushed them back and started on my journey
Time has passed, I've been holding fast and I made myself quite some reputation
Known by many in the Lord as a firmly grounded man in the Word of God
If they only knew of the doubts and thoughts that hide behind the mask I'm often wearing
So I keep it to myself and hope that it will fade away as I keep growing
You may see me running around like I don't even know where I'm bound
If someday soon I open my eyes will I realize who I am?
