Do you know the one who is God's own son
He was born in a stable there in Bethlehem?
Born humble as a child, to die as a man
It seems strange, but it all fits into God's plan
Time like grains of sand that slip between the fingers of your hand
Rolls along and takes its course apparently without a plan
Behind the scenes the ageless one has set the stage of history
Keeping His appointed time appeared for all the world to see
Born into a point in time, He entered from eternity
The God of man who lives above had come to set His creatures free
Forsaken by the world He made, the son of God came forth to die
The Father's wrath upon him fell, the curse of death brought out his cry
You can't hear the cry he made, you can't feel the pain
You can't see his bloody head as he hung and bore your shame
The mighty hands that formed the world were pierced by rusty nails
Outstretched his arms are turned toward you, his love it never fails
Jesus Christ, he came and died and rose again
Suffered on the cross to save us from our sin
Nothing more could ever pay the price we need
He gives eternal life to those who have believed in him
