When the truth is set before you will you turn and walk away?
Have you taught yourself the answers that will cause your heart to stray?
Will you face up to the questions that have come before your eyes?
Or will your hold your contradictions as you tell yourself the lies?
You're a prisoner -- got your back against the wall
In the twilight of the ages after all your deeds are done
have you ever had the feeling you'll give account to anyone?
Or do you suppose that nothing really matters anyway?
Still that fear is there inside you, it will never go away
You're a prisoner -- got your back against the wall
There is a light that shines so bright it scares the hell out of the blackest hole
But just a look into the Son above stirs a hope into the darkest soul
And the prison bars that shut you in cannot hold the one who does believe
It doesn't matter who, or where, or why because the light breaks through and will retrieve
