Can you hear the angels singing in the heavens?
See those demons shaking and trembling?
Hear God's children praising Him and saying,
"He's Lord of all! He is Lord of all!"?
A long time ago in Israel a prophet called Elisha did live
Well, the king of Syria, he sent an army to put this man of God to an end
Now, when the servant of Elisha looked all around the city he shook with fear at the sight
But Elisha said, "Lord, open his eyes!", and what do think that he saw?
He saw that the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire 'round about Elisha
and they smote the whole Syrian army with blindness
Can you hear the angels singing in the heavens?
See those demons shaking and trembling?
Hear God's children praising Him and saying,
"He's Lord of all! He is Lord of all!"?
While shepherds were watching their flocks by night outside of Bethlehem
Now, the heaven opened up and the angel appeared, he said,
"Don't be afraid, for I bring you good news!"
For today in the city of David, a savior has been born to you
He is the Christ, yes, he is the Lord, and you'll find him in a manger there
And while he was speaking, there appeared a choir of angels, and they said,
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace, to men on whom His favor rests!"
Can you hear the angels singing in the heavens?
See those demons shaking and trembling?
Hear God's children praising Him and saying,
"He's Lord of all! He is Lord of all!"?
Heading toward Emmaus on the day that Jesus rose,
two of his disciples were looking mighty grim
They were talking to this stranger about Messiah,
they were kinda hoping Jesus might have been him
Well, unknown to these disciples of Jesus this stranger was no stranger at all
but the risen Christ from Nazareth, who told them of the kingdom of God
He told them that Christ had to suffer, then he told them of the resurrection
Then explaining all the scriptures concerning himself, they entered the village there
And it came about that when he had reclined at the table with them
He took bread, blessed it, then breaking it he began giving it to them
And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him
Then he vanished from their sight!
Can you hear the angels singing in the heavens?
See those demons shaking and trembling?
Hear God's children praising Him and saying,
"He's Lord of all! He is Lord of all!"?
